This deal took a couple days to get done but Ace and I kept working at it. I knew I had to bring a huge package to the table as I assume he was getting several great offers for Sale. I was not ready to completely sell off when I moved Harper the other day, but I had a chance to get Moncada and Albies and took the gamble. Now Albies was the key part of this deal which allows me to still compete by acquiring Sale, a true #1. I'm only 11-12 points out of 3rd place and it's still too early to pack it in. Nunez is having a very good year too and will help me immediately at 3B/CI. Nix was the final piece of the puzzle that Ace agreed on to get the deal done.
This time I give up a big part of my farm but am confident I'm deep enough there to move a few to acquire Sale. Albies will be a very good major leaguer at 2B or SS and steal a ton. Holmes and Lopez both have the potential to be excellent SPs at the MLB level. I had to throw in Eickhoff late to make this happen and I see that as having to give up some young quality to get some back.
