UPDATED DEAL as of 7/21/16
The NY Royals and Cleveland Braves have agreed to the following trade:
NY Royals send:
Steve Pearce TB 16:$1M
Scott Kazmir LAD 16:$4M|17:$4M
Sean Manaea OAK 16:$0 17-20:$500K
Cleveland Braves send:
Triston Mckenzie CLE prospect
Jamie Westbrook ARI prospect
Yandy Diaz CLE prospect
3rd round pick 2017
I agree another trade to once more bolster the prospect pool and get another pick in this coming years draft. Rebuild central right here!

Confirmed. I get a spot starter and a versatile hitter for the stretch run, along with Manaea who makes it worth giving up the talented McKenzie and the 3rd round pick. Didn't realize Kazmir had a 2nd year of control, but he likely doesn't make it through the offseason on the team.

First of all, this trade isn't being vetoed. But I do want to mention a couple things. Mitchell and I did discuss the deal together since co-Commish Drew is involved in the deal. It's pretty apparent that Cleveland's getting the better of the deal, at least right now, but we take that into consideration as NY Royals are rebuilding.
But in a rebuild we're not clear why he'd want to trade Manaea who is under control on a prospect contract for the next 4 years.
I'm not going to ask that Pearce, Kazmir or Manaea be taken out of the trade, and I'm not going to ask Drew to send a higher draft pick than Round 3. I would like to ask Drew to add another Top 100-150 prospect to the package, OR a couple other mid-to-lower level prospects to balance this trade out a bit more.
Both parties agreeable to that?
