Since Kenta Maeda has signed with the Dodgers before our Minor League Draft has begun, Can he be drafted as a minor league prospect ?

OK, this was clarified for me. I'm good with it. He was signed to a Major League contract and I believe he should be in the free agent draft later. I don't think this is consistent with previous rulings.

Last year Jung-ho Kang was signed to a Major league contract, but it was after our Minors draft started so we weren't allowed to draft him. He made it to Majors during the season and was allowed to be offered a FA contract in-season.

But this would not be the case for Maeda. He IS already signed and was so BEFORE the draft, so would he be eligible? Also guys like Park, would he be eligible.

You are correct Jon. I think Scott's example was of someone who would not be eligible.

Correct. Anyone signed before our draft started is eligible.
If some top International player sign tomorrow he cannot be drafted.
