My reasoning for this trade is the same as the last one. I am trying my best to rebuild this team with high end prospects or young players that I hope will pan out and off set that with shedding salaries so that I may use the freed up monies in FA to obtain the pieces I feel I need to compete.

Confirmed. The dealing of Peralta was used to help offset the salary that Braun and Buchholz combine for in 2016. I feel this trade helps me out both in the short term and the long term without mortgaging my entire future.
