Orlando Arcia, SS - ATL 23: 500K
Michael Siani, OF - CIN (prospect)
Padres trade:
Tink Hence, SP - STL (prospect)
Reasoning:
Tink has looked dominant the last year and a half, which, rightfully so, got him a Top 100 prospect ranking. But the small sample size and cardinals lack of impact pitching development paired with the return I could get for him made me pull the trigger.
Arcia has shown that he is not just a stop gap, but can indeed be an offensive weapon in the bottom half of the Braves lineup. Siani has the speed and on-base ability to make a significant impact on the SB category, once he gets to the majors. He may be the next man up after Frieda’s trip to the IL.
Easy talks with Chad as always. Hopefully Tink and the Cards prove me wrong and his cannon is in the majors sooner rather than later.
