Scott said I needed to post a reason for the trade. Simply put; I took over a new team and have been playing fantasy baseball for over 15 years and simply want to build MY team. I do not feel the team that I took over is or can be a "win now" type team, but with trades and drafting can be so VERY soon. So trying to build a team that is young and with upside with hopes of competing next year or the year after (2017 or 2018). I have limited "trade chips" available to me so just trying to use each one I can for the best value that I can. While I am giving up 2 stars/studs I feel I am gaining equitable upside in the players coming back to me.

Agree.

For me, I am letting go of a lot of everyday players this year, so I wanted solid veterans. I struggled all year with getting solid pitching performances consistently, and my middle infield was in shambles. The one guy I hate giving up in the deal is Lindor, but getting Tulowitzki back, and MCann who turned out to be solid catching option and likely the everyday catcher moving forward was a good return.
