MN Cards agree, with a couple modifications.
PTBNL going to Houston Giants will be Felix Jorge MIN.
Also, Houston Giants send 7th Round Minors pick in 2016 to Minnesota Cards.

Agreed to deal with Felix Jorge going to Hou. Giants and Hou. Giants 7th round pick 2016 minors draft to Mn. Cards.

I'm very skeptical of this deal from Scott's perspective. Two top-notch pitchers with inexpensive team control for 1 legit prospect, 1 decent prospect, and some throw in?
Can you elaborate on your reasoning Scott?

Co-Commish and League Leader is skeptical because of a trade the Commissioner is making for his future?
Houston wanted two quality SPs for the stretch run. I am virtually out of it this year (having dropped like a rock over the last 2 weeks) so my play is prospects. How about TWO legit prospects, not 1. Mella was in the Futures Game (who I saw in Cincinnati even though nobody else chose to come with me!!) and was just traded to Cincinnati in the Mike Leake deal. He was SF's #1 or #2 pitching prospect, depending on how you rank Crick, and now he might even have a shot at the Reds rotation sooner than he would've in SF. As for AJ Reed, isn't he one of MiLB's HR leader this season? Kid is mashing and is definitely a bright star on the horizon. I also get a 7th round Minors pick next season.
Blanco and Petit were throw-ins as Houston needed to move salary to accommodate Lynn. They may soon find themselves outrighted, demoted or even back on the FA market.
I know I'm giving up 2 very good SPs now, but I'm banking on some great future return in Mella and Reed (plus a mid round pick next year is important to me too).
That be my $0.02.

I will approve, as this ultimately comes down to a scouting difference. I am more skeptical on mella. I love reed, but the upside of the prospects seems to be about the same as the value of the current major leaguers.
