quick question on this rule:
UNDER OFF-SEASON it states........"With regard to adherence to salary cap and roster size, Diamond Duos will relax the general rule during the off-season only to allow some flexibility in light of free agent contract offers. During this off-season exercise, each franchise will be able to exceed their salary cap by up to $10M. You can utilize trading to free up roster and salary cap space. **A word to the wise...bid prudently.
All salary caps and rosters must be in full compliance by the 2014(assuming this is 2015) season's Opening Day (first MLB game of season). Failure to be in compliance will mean no stat accumulation on Fantrax."
so does this mean that our roster this off-season can be $10m over?? and then we make final cuts prior to opening day?

Sorry, Colin asked me the same thing. I am going to say no to that. Going into our initial season we need to stick within our salary cap (as best as we can). How can this even be an off-season if we haven't even played one year yet? It's really our PRE-Season.
Please try to stick within the $170M cap. Knowing that you only have to have a minimum of 37 players (max 40), if you keep a maximum of 30 keepers then you'll need to sign AT LEAST 7 players in our initial free agent contract offer period. Since the minimum salary is $500,000, you cannot leave yourself with less than $3,500,000 going into that period. Does that make sense?
Next off-season we will relax the cap and rule, which is how the rules should read. I hope that makes sense to all.
