Lee, trading will be open both before and after free agency, but not during.

so let me get this straight, Keepers are due Tonight? after Commish announces keeepers are locked, we can trade for a few days, then commish will announce trades closed, FA draft will then begin? Is this our order of operations?

I can't open trading until ALL rosters are posted, and contracts/salaries checked and confirmed. I know Kirk (Texas Phillies) is working on his tonight. Haven't heard from Phil (Houston Giants) but texted him and hope his is posted by tomorrow.

Scott and I are currently working to get all the rosters, salaries, and minor league players entered and get all of the ProBoards rosters checked for accuracy. We will hope to have this done by the 26th or 27th probably. Then we will open up trading for a week or so. The first period will last approximately one week, allowing everyone to make their desired moves before free agency opens.

All team rosters, contracts and salaries have been carefully looked at. Some of you still need to update your roster pages based on the posts/emails we did. Having said that I'm comfortable opening up our Trading period for a week before we begin Initial Free Agent contract offers.
Here's what I'm looking at:
Trading to open tonight - Monday 12/29 at 9:00pm EST
For ALL TRADES - one owner needs to post all players (and contracts/salaries) being traded. The other owner must reply with an approval. Then I will "Commish Approve" the deal if everything seems to be in order and it's not CLEARLY too lopsided or unfair and detrimental to the league. In the case of trades involving me, Drew will be the approving Commish, unless of course it's a deal between the two of us. Then we'll need an independent 3rd part to "Commish Approve."
Once a trade is approved, I will process the trade on Fantrax. Each owner is responsible for updating your ProBoards roster and listing the trade in either a Roster Moves folder or another Roster Moves post on your team page. Please keep all trades, releases, signings in a post that's separate from your team roster and salaries.
Free Agency to begin Monday night 1/5 around 9:00pm EST. I'll have the Free Agent bidding thread created, each owner will be able to post 2 Free Agents with an opening offer, but there will be no bidding/raising until I unlock the threads that night.
