The New York Royals agree to trade:
Merrill Kelly, P (ARI) - '22-'24: $0.5M
to the Minnesota Cardinals for:
Nick Sandlin, P (CLE) - '22-'25: $0.5M
2023 Draft 10th Round Pick

Royals logic: This is a pretty straightforward deal. I have a glut of starting pitching and need to move some of that for relievers. I am high on Sandlin even with the injury last season. Dave was willing to throw in the pick to help offset the injury concern. Short and sweet deal that should help both sides. Thanks Dave! Cheers!
