Washington Yankees trades:
Aaron Judge (21: $500,000)
for
Toronto Brewers trades:
Brandon Marsh (prospect)
Nolan Jones (prospect)
Matthew Liberatore (prospect)
Connor Brogdon (21: $0; 22: $500,000; 23: $500,000; 24: $500,000; 25: $500,000)
I had a lot of suitors for Judge and I told all of them I'd have to be overwhelmed to move him. I think this deal does that for me giving me four players either just beginning their big league careers or about to who are controllable for a long time. It hurts losing Judge who I could have prospect tagged and then franchise tagged, but I really needed an influx of good, young talent on my team and this trade does that for me.
Great working with Dave to get this done.

Agreed. I had no player to tag this year, so I was looking for a potential anchor and find one in Judge. I'm giving away prospect talent (some of which I really like), but this is why I've spent the last year trying to stockpile prospect talent. My team hasn't known a player at Judge's level since I've owned it, so I'm happy to welcome him to the Toronto Brewers family. Nice to work with Jake to finally get an agreement done.
