Miami Rays (Michael): Yes. The 4-year deal could have been restructured to 3 at 11 per to win the player. If we all understand the rules, it’s fine to do it by AAV.

Commish Emeritus (Scott): Should a 1 year, $10M deal beat a 4 year, $36M (AAS $9M) deal? Maybe, maybe not. But how are we to change things to keep it simple and make it less work for the Commish office? As it is we're constantly monitoring offers, invalidities, etc.
