Reasoning:
Flaherty could be a huge part of competing not only this year, but going forward. With 4-9 years of control (based on tags) he is young controllable and definitely ace material. Exactly why dealing him for a plethora of upside players is a good move for my depth-lacking team. Taillon is an awesome bounce back candidate who would be worthy of tagging given a bounce-back year. Gonsolin is a versatile pitcher who could contribute in quite a few ways in the next couple years. Cabrera is on the rise in the MIA system and could be a huge strikeout contributor soon. 1st round pick let’s me take a huge bat. Too much value coming back to the Padres to refuse.
