The Seattle Dodgers will release Jace Peterson, it seems like he was a FA signing so I will have to pay 25% of the 500k deal for the 2019 season, please confirm.

Actually, no... this is not correct. I've done some digging. I cannot find any instance of him being signed to a free agent contract either during a preseason Free Agency phase or in-season blind FA offer.
Peterson was an original minor leaguer in DD2 and was promoted to majors in February of 2015. That would have been his $0 season.
Feb 4, 2015 at 1:31pm QuoteEditlikePost Options Post by cgrossman77 on Feb 4, 2015 at 1:31pm The Los Angeles Mariners have promoted the following players from MILB to MLB during the 2015 season:
Jace Peterson 2B ATL Alex Guerrero 2B LAD Carson Smith RP SEA
That original owner then incorrectly posted his contract on the team roster page as a Pre-Arb one: 0.5M/0.5M/0.5M/1M/2M/3M. This was wrong and looks like it was never caught as Peterson went from one team to another.
After the 2015 season at $0 he should have been 16-19: $0.5M. If I'm looking at all this correctly, then since he would have been going into the final year of a prospect contract, there is no cap hit for releasing one of these players during the offseason.
Questions? How's that for some Sherlock Holmesing?
