Needs, needs deal here. I need some help down the stretch to solidify some hitting and pitching positions/categories. Ace is rebuilding so pulling in those 4 prospects certainly makes him farm even better. For me, getting another C, a solid CI and very good SP in the final year of his contract for 4 very good prospects I think is a win-win for Ace and me. I did NOT want to give up Kelly or Flaherty but doing so allowed me to keep a couple other prospects I like that we were discussing. Kelly should help SD Sox this year and many to come. Flaherty could be ace potential and Sierra has also been up in the majors this year and played very well. The jury seems to be out on Montas and his prospect star may have dimmed a little but there is so much upside.

I confirm. These players weren't apart of my longterm plans so figured I'd cash them in for prospects that I like and that I think can help me in the near future. I'm a big fan of Kelly even though he's blocked in the Majors and I think he could make a big impact in a couple of years.
