Good question. If 12 hours pass and no offers come in for a posted Restricted Free Agent, then that player will be offered back to the previous owner at his real-life MLB salary.
For example last year Brett Anderson did not receive an offer in DD1 and he was offered back to the previous owner at $10M for 2015 (his actual MLB salary last year).
I am going with a timestamp of 9:00am EST this morning to determine any of these no offer players. All threads were unlocked prior to 9pm EST last night.

Hey sorry if I'm new, but was this explained anywhere before this post? Your email last night stated that "One of the commishes will post in a thread once 12 hours have passed on the high offer", which I believed to mean that the clock wouldn't start until an offer had been made. This obviously needed clarification since you sent out this post, but you sent it 22 minutes before the deadline. That is not adequate time at all to notify the whole league of a rule they are unaware of. I think the players that didn't receive a bid need to be unlocked and have at least another 12 hour period to be bid on because clearly there was some misunderstanding on this rule.

What's the alternative? These guys were on the board for over 12 hours as it is.

Why is it only 12 hours? What's the rush? I don't think 24 hours is too crazy of an idea. You obviously knew this would be an issue if you posted that clarification statement. And if you had posted it yesterday I wouldn't have an issue with this, but posting it 22 minutes before the deadline when no one will see it in time seems unfair to me.

Mitchell, thanks for your comments. No I didn't think this would be an issue, but I did want to clarify how the process has run in Diamond Duos for the last couple years. This is obviously the first time we're going through RFA in DD2. I'm getting in touch with co-Commissioner Drew and we will make some ruling on this shortly. I agree I should have posted this much earlier than 25 minutes before the first 12 hours would be up.
Also, this is a clause/rule that needs to be added to the RFA section in the Constitution.
Your suggestion of unlocking them for another 12 hours is fair. I just need to see how this would affect teams that have already accepted or declined the real-life MLB contract on a player who hadn't received any bids.

Mitchell, I agree with you. I actually thought that what Scott posted was already in the constitution. Since it was not, I think you are correct. While I don't want to make a habit of keeping these guys open for an extended period of time, I think in today's case, we should re-open them up.
The one exception, in my opinion, should be with the 3 guys for whom the owners have already made decisions- Street, Loney, and ARod. In this case, I think the owners should have the option as to whether they would like to open the bidding back up.

Phil has already let me know opening ARod's thread for another 12 hours is ok.

Thanks Scott and Drew. This seems like the most fair option to me.
